Part of my mission here at Skeptical History is to encourage people to do their own research, and make up their own minds about the historical events I write and talk about. I know, I know, that phrase has been seriously misused by the tinfoil hat brigade, but it’s a good one nonetheless. To facilitate this mission, I include sources for all my posts and podcasts, with the instructions to find them below.

Post Sources

Click on the post, then scroll down to the bottom where you will see the title Sources in bold type. All new posts will have primary and secondary sources will be listed there, according to the Chicago manual of style.

Podcast Sources

Go to https://rss.com/podcasts/the-skeptical-historian/ and click on the title of the episode you want to see the sources for. Click on the Transcript heading and scroll to the end of the episode transcript, where you will see the title SOURCES in all caps. All new episodes primary and secondary sources will be listed there, according to the Chicago manual of style.
